Christians continue to be one of the world’s most persecuted religious groups. Persecution of Christians is increasing in many nations.

  • Persecution has reached unprecedented heights.
  • Please join me in praying for people who are being persecuted for their religious beliefs.
  • Female believers are sometimes subjected to “double persecution” since they are both believers and women!

Every day, we get fresh instances of Christ’s disciples being harassed, threatened, subjected to injustice, imprisoned, tortured, and even losing their families or lives as a result of their trust in Jesus. Persecution is at an all-time high, with over 245 million Christians throughout the globe enduring severe persecution because of their beliefs. That’s one out of every nine Christians on the planet!

“Christians Slaughtered in Village Attack—”No One Was Allowed to escape,” “Believers Fight for Survival in Regional Violence,” scream the headlines throughout the globe. “Government-sponsored church destruction is spreading,” “Severe Religious Restrictions Cast a Shadow Over 75% of the World’s Population,” and more.

Every day, fresh reports emerge of discrimination, disproportionate and unjust fines, denial of humanitarian relief, house deportations, property seizures, and whole Christian communities being destroyed by radicals or terrorist-led mobs. Regrettably, government authorities often accept, support, or even promote such persecution.

Many Christians are being refused help because of their beliefs, even amid the coronavirus outbreak! Female believers are sometimes subjected to “double persecution” since they are both believers and women! As hate for followers of Jesus Christ spreads over the world, there are an increasing number of laws and political prohibitions that enable and even encourage persecution.

In only one year (SOURCE: Open Doors USA):

  • Over 260 million Christians live in countries where they are persecuted heavily.
  • For their beliefs, 2,983 Christians were slaughtered
  • There have been attacks against 9,488 churches and other Christian structures
  • 3,711 Christians were seized, arrested, condemned, or imprisoned without a trial.
  • That’s a 6-percentage-point increase of Christians facing severe persecution in the last 12 months!

What options do we have? Pray!

Please join KeepTheFaith in praying for people who are being persecuted for their religious beliefs. we are taught of the church as the body of Christ, 1 Corinthians 12:26 says “And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it,”  . According to Matthew 18:19, “if two of you agree on earth about anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven,” we must join together in prayer consistently for our brothers and sisters using The name of JESUS.

The Names of Jesus

God has vested all authority in the wonderful and unrivaled Name of Jesus, according to Philippians 2:9-10: “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, things on earth, and things under the earth.”

The Name of Jesus was named upon you the minute you confessed His Lordship over your life; you were baptized into, and have become a part of, that Name: “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:27). So now you have the opportunity to respond to that Name. “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ…” reads Romans 8:17. This implies that everything that belongs to Jesus, including his name, is yours. Remember that the significance of a name lies in its power and everything that it entails.

Unfortunately, many Christians have never been educated about this truth, and they are unaware of the victorious life that God has provided for us in Christ Jesus. As a result, they’ve settled on religion, and Christianity isn’t one of them. Christianity is living in Jesus’ name; it is God’s life expressed through you. You’re not your average person. Christ is your life; Jesus’ name has been given to you! You’re one with Him because you’re one with Him in this world (1 John 4:17).

YOU HAVE THE POWER WHEN YOU USE THE NAME OF JESUS

The Name of Jesus has power; use it to drive out demons, cure the sick, resurrect the dead, and live triumphantly in this world for His glory. Every knee bends at the mention of that Name, in heaven, on earth, and beneath the ground (Philippians 2:10).
